The Advanced Diploma in Accounting and Taxation aims to provide solid knowledge and business skills for industry practitioners and those who wish to purse better knowledge in the field of accounting and taxation.
1. Management Accounting
-In this Module, learners will learn the following contents: Activity-based costing, Short-term decision making, Risk and Uncertainty, Budgeting and control
2. Budget System
-In this Module, learners will learn the following contents: Types of budget, Quantities analysis in budgeting, Standard costing, Yield variance and quantity variance, Planning and operational variance
3. Performance Management
In this module, learners will learn the following contents: Performance Management information system, Performance analysis, External considerations and behaviour aspects
4. Introduction to Tax System
-In this module, learners will learn the following contents: Taxation in a modern economy, Procedures relating to tax, Penalties for non-compliance, Goods and Service Tax
5. Income tax liability for individual
-In this module, learners will learn the following contents:Income from employment, Income from self-employment, Income from Property and investment, Computation of taxable income and income tax liability;
6. Corporate Income tax liability
– In this module, learners will learn the contents of Profits chargeable to income tax, Computation of corporate income tax, Tax for group companies
7. Contract Law
– In this module, learners will learn these contents: Law and legal system, Content of contract, Vitiating factors, Discharge of contract, breach of contract and remedies, torts and professional negligence;
8. Partnership and Company law
-In this module, learners will learn the following contents: General partnership and limited liability partnership, Companies and legal personality, The formation and constitution of a company, Capital and finance of companies, Company directors and other officers, Company meetings and resolutions, Minority Protection, Winding up of company
* At least 18 years old; and
Any of the requirements below:
- One ‘A’ Level Passed OR
- Recognised diploma in Business/Accounting/Economics/Finance
- other equivalent qualification accepted by the Board of Academic
* Language Requirement: Pass English Test, and obtain at least 39 out of 50 of the test.
